  24. Beautiful photo. I always find it’s the simple things in life, like this man herding his sheep, that really make great photos!

  25. Nice. What are those green things in their ears?

    14/06/2012 at 1:23 am

    • Good eye! I think they are for keeping record of the ship…

      16/06/2012 at 7:57 am

  26. Love the picture, it speaks volumes to me as a fellow shepherdess. Think of all the thoughts of the flock and personalities that the shepherd is confronted with during the move. “Movin”

    14/06/2012 at 1:34 am

    • Thank you Sjgarver,

I hadnt thought about the thoughts of the flock and their personalities…it opens new dimensions to the image!!! Thank you so much!

  27. I enjoyed your blog, cheers.

    14/06/2012 at 2:58 am

    14/06/2012 at 2:58 am

    • the mans face 😀 THere was also a black dog, I think it is behind the sheep…a pity I didnt captured it 😦

      Muchas gracias Cafe.

  35. I think it takes a minute to really appreciate this picture. At quick glance it’s easy to take it for granted, but at closer look there is so much depth and emotion. It is clear that a shepherd’s work isn’t easy. Moving picture, worth a second look…

    14/06/2012 at 5:11 am

    • thank you Greg, sometimes you need to look at the picture a year after…as in this case!

      Muchas gracias!

      16/06/2012 at 3:18 pm

  36. So ironic…I just watched a documentary last night about sheep herding in Montana..and now this photo pops up! It’s my dream to be shepherdess one day 😉 this just feeds that weird dream.

  37. A Table in the Sun

I love rural scenes. So pure.

    14/06/2012 at 5:27 am

  38. Good Evening: It’s not hard to figure out why this is such a good shot–almost all of the animals are looking directly at the camera. The way the heads line up in columns on the left hand side is very pleasing, as is the sort of triangle formation in the middle.

    14/06/2012 at 7:56 am

    • thank you Scott! I was going with my father in the car and when I saw them I had to get out and shoot them from the front.

I enjoyed your play on words and photo. I wonder, did you plan the title and then look for a photo? Or, did you find the photo and then plan the title?
